As a Senior Associate Attorney in our tax controversy practice group, Amy defends individuals and corporate clients facing complex tax challenges. Her practice spans a comprehensive range of federal and state tax issues, including navigating audits, resolving wage garnishments and bank levies, and addressing employment tax obligations and trust fund recovery penalties. She also regularly represents clients in tax return preparer penalties, innocent spouse relief claims, penalty abatements, offers in compromise, and voluntary disclosures.
Amy earned her J.D. from the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, followed by an LL.M. in Taxation from the Boston University School of Law. Her foundational experience includes serving as a Legal Intern with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel during law school, where she was also a member of the St. Thomas More-Loyola Law Inn of Court. Additionally, Amy further contributes to the tax community by currently serving a three-year term as an appointed member of the IRS Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee (ETAAC).
